Five Novellas

Falling on the MTA

Girl reading Palahniuk
on the J-train
with the plastic toy snake
for a bookmark
I am already in love.

Second Kiss

It’s the second kiss
I’ll always remember.
The one where
she pressed me back
against the chain-link.

Deeper Marks

Her fingertips
on my cheek
left deeper marks
than her scratches
on my back.

When I was eighteen
I showed my grandfather
my new tribal armband.
He showed me his faded battleship,
bearing Nanna’s name.

She feigned everything by halves.
Half closed eyes;
half parted legs emerging
from a half-hiked skirt
had the whole of my attention.

I am the little devil on your shoulder, stroking your neck with my tail, whispering obscenities into your ear, and looking down your blouse. One third of The Erotic Writer blog.
